Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate In Home Caregiver/CNA to provide high-quality, personalized care to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care, with expertise in assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), medical documentation, and working with diverse populations including seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those requiring specialized dementia or Alzheimer's care. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in clients' lives by delivering attentive, respectful, and professional home health services. Duties Assist clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary. Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature to ensure patient stability. Administer medications following prescribed schedules while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards. Support clients with memory care needs, including dementia and Alzheimer's care, utilizing specialized techniques to ensure safety and comfort. Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being and reduce feelings of isolation. Perform light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation to maintain a safe and comfortable environment. Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) or Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems for accurate documentation of patient care activities. Collaborate effectively with healthcare teams to coordinate care plans for clients receiving hospice or long-term care services. Requirements Valid CNA certification or equivalent healthcare training with experience in home health or long-term care environments. Proven experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia, or Alzheimer's disease. Knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration procedures, and catheter or hospice care techniques. Ability to operate medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts and perform tasks like taking vital signs accurately Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality at all times. Excellent caregiving skills combined with patience, empathy, and professionalism. Ability to work independently in a home setting while managing multiple responsibilities efficiently. Pay:
$17.00 - $20.00 per hour
