Position Description:
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Team Lead is responsible for promoting and restoring patients' health by assisting in the nursing process and collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members. Under the direction of management, the LPN Team Lead acts as a key clinical resource for the team, providing guidance and support to clinical staff while ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. This role works closely with providers, managers, and staff to foster effective patient interactions and streamline clinical operations. The LPN Team Lead also helps to establish and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
Requirements:
Education/Certification/Licensure Current Licensure as a Practical Nurse in the State of New York. Current Basic Life Support certification. Minimum of five (5) years of professional nursing experience. One (1) year of clinical team leader or charge nurse experience, preferred. Knowledge of state law regarding nursing care, nurse practice guidelines, and office policies and procedures Demonstrated experience with an electronic medical record.
Experience/Skills/Proficiencies:
Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology. Familiarity with health care systems, regulations, policies, and functions. Understanding of documentation standards. Knowledge of equipment, supplies, and materials needed for medical treatment. Works well in a team setting and demonstrates strong cooperation skills. Skill in reading and following written and oral medical orders. Skill in initiating appropriate emergency procedures. Skill in handling a number of tasks simultaneously. Experience in a physician office, preferred.
Pay Range:
$18.50-$37.95
