Job Description:
Horizon Healthcare Staffing is currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our long-term care team. As a CNA in a long-term care setting, you will play a crucial role in providing essential care and support to residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Interviewing immediately! Morning, Evening and Overnight shifts available! Monday - Friday + every other weekend required Overtime opportunities available!
Responsibilities:
Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding, while preserving their dignity and promoting independence. Observe and report any changes in residents' physical or mental conditions to the nursing staff promptly. Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiratory rate, as directed by the nursing team. Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering a positive and caring environment. Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper lifting and transfer techniques to prevent injury to both residents and yourself. Help maintain a clean and organized living environment for residents, including making beds, tidying rooms, and organizing personal belongings. Follow infection control procedures and maintain a safe and sanitary environment for residents and staff. Adhere to care plans and assist with the implementation of nursing interventions under the guidance of licensed nurses.
Qualifications:
Valid and active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in NY. Previous experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility is preferred but not required; new graduates are welcome to apply. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and the healthcare team. Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care, with a commitment to providing the highest quality of service to residents. Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals. to become a valued Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in a long-term care setting. #
