Job Description

Position Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Caregiver Team Lead to support residents and guide caregiving staff in our assisted living community. This role provides direct resident care while serving as a point person for caregivers during assigned shifts, ensuring high-quality care, teamwork, and adherence to care plans and community policies. The ideal candidate is an experienced caregiver who leads by example, communicates effectively, and is passionate about resident dignity, safety, and well-being. Key Responsibilities Provide hands-on assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and feeding Serve as the shift leader for caregivers, providing guidance, support, and direction Ensure care plans are followed accurately and report changes in resident condition to nursing leadership Assist with shift assignments, break coverage, and workflow coordination Support onboarding and mentoring of new caregivers Monitor resident safety and respond appropriately to call lights and emergencies Accurately document care provided per community and state guidelines Promote a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment Communicate effectively with residents, families, nurses, and management Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (required) Minimum 1-2 years of caregiving experience in assisted living, long-term care, or a related setting Prior leadership, charge aide, or preceptor experience preferred Nurse Aide (STNA/CNA) certification preferred or willingness to obtain Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to [XX] lbs with or without accommodation Reliable attendance and a professional, compassionate demeanor Why Join Us?
