Duties Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and dignity. Take and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates to monitor patient health status. Support medical procedures by preparing patients, ensuring proper positioning, and assisting with tasks like phlebotomy or catheter care under supervision. Maintain detailed and accurate medical documentation within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems while adhering to HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to relay important information about patient needs and progress. Utilize safe manual handling techniques and equipment such as Hoyer lifts to transfer patients safely, preventing injury. Follow infection control protocols using aseptic techniques during patient care activities to prevent the spread of infectious diseases. Qualifications Valid certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) from an accredited program; active state license required. Experience working with diverse populations including long-term care residents, geriatric patients, or individuals with developmental disabilities. Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs measurement, and basic nursing procedures such as medication administration and catheter care. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner for accurate documentation; experience with medical records management is preferred. Strong communication skills with the ability to provide compassionate patient service in fast-paced environments such as hospitals, clinics, or home care settings. Critical care experience such as ICU or emergency medicine is advantageous; experience working in trauma centers or hospice care is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and adhere to safe lifting practices during patient transfers. Basic life support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications like CPR or advanced life support are beneficial. $19.00 - $21.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 per week
