Overview We are urgently seeking a compassionate and In-Home Caregiver or CNA to provide daytime and overnight care for our clients in and around Greencastle, PA. This vital role involves assisting with daily activities, ensuring safety, and promoting independence in a home setting. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patient health by checking vital signs and observing for any changes in condition Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal planning Administer medications accurately following care plans and HIPAA regulations Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' well-being Maintain detailed documentation of care provided, patient observations, and any incidents or changes in condition Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts safely during transfers when necessary Requirements Prior experience in home health, assisted living, nursing home, or group home settings is highly preferred Certification in First Aid and CPR is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training are a plus Demonstrated ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia, Alzheimer's, autism or other special needs Strong patient observation skills to monitor health status and respond promptly to emergencies Ability to perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and maintaining a safe environment Physical capability for heavy lifting and assisting with mobility transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident lifts Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams Benefits Paid sick time Paid time off Paid training Referral program Retirement plan Tuition reimbursement Service Area In and around Greencastle, PA and surrounding areas.
