  • CNA needed for female client in Scituate, Rhode Island Monday-Friday 3PM-8PM and every other Saturday and Sunday 10AM-5PM
  • The CNA will meet the client at the bus, assist with her snack and dinner, complete her bathing routine, and provide care until her parents return home.

The Certified Nursing Assistant provides Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs) as assigned in an individual's care plan. Care is generally provided in the home, however, errands, and escort services may also be assigned as designated in an individual's care plan. The CNA may also provide skilled tasks that require special training and competencies that a Homemaker cannot provide. The CNA may also provide skilled tasks that require special training and competencies that a Homemaker cannot provide. Responsibilities

  • The Certified Nursing Assistant must be able to demonstrate competence with assigned ADL's and IADL's or special tasks and perform these tasks in line with the plan of care.
  • Tasks may include, but are not limited to:
  • Bathing (assist, bed bath, tub bath, shower, sitz)
  • Dressing / Undressing
  • Mouth care
  • Skin Care ( non-prescription)
  • Hair Care
  • Nail Care ( does not include nail care with clients with Diabetes) no trimming/ file only
  • Mobility (turn and position, transfer, use of lift, assist with ambulation, range of motion)
  • Medication reminders
  • Toileting ( bed pan/ urinal, bowel/ bladder regimen training, collect specimens, perineal /catheter care, apply/remove condom catheters, ostomy care
  • Eating ( meal preparations according to client's dietary needs or restrictions, including forcing fluids and restrictions.
  • Assist, monitor or feed the client, according to level of care
  • IADLs may include but are not limited to
  • Cooking
  • Cleaning
  • Shopping and/or pharmacy errands
  • Escort, may accompany patient to MD appts
  • If additional services are requested, the CNA must notify the RN Field Supervisor for further instruction.
  • Be present for Supervisory visits to be performed by RN Field supervisor as required
  • Time and Attendance must be logged in via EMR app, or EVV, as required by payer or Hope Nursing Home Care
  • Report planned absences to the office as soon as possible so the scheduled outage may be assigned to another CNA

  • Must have an active Rhode Island CNA license.
  • An individual's BCI check complying with RI state law
  • Availability on your scheduled days.
  • Experienced in Home and Community Based Services, preferred .
  • Comfortable with working in homes with dogs and/or cats
  • Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation (Willing to travel)
  • Must be a flexible, highly customer service and people oriented individual who demonstrates compassion, patience and understanding,ensuring the highest level of serivce
  • Maintain a current CNA license
  • Ability to read & write in English
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
