This position plays a vital role in providing essential healthcare services to an incarcerated individual with special needs ensuring a safe, hygienic, and therapeutic environment within the facility. Active TX CNA certification (in good standing) BLS Certification from the American Heart Association Ability to pass a strict background check
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct health assessments of inmates both upon entry and ongoing to develop and implement healthcare plans Coordinate healthcare services with other members of the correctional health team Provide ongoing care and management for inmates with chronic illnesses Educate inmates on self-care and lifestyle modifications Respond to medical emergencies within the correctional facility Assess and address mental health issues among inmates Provide health education to inmates on topics such as nutrition, hygiene, and disease prevention Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for each inmate Work closely with correctional officers and security staff to ensure the safety of both healthcare providers and inmates Advocate for the healthcare needs and rights of inmates Why Join Ro Health?
