Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our healthcare team for the 6am-2pm shift. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a supportive environment, ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of patients across various care settings. This role offers an opportunity to work with diverse patient populations, including those requiring memory care, post-acute care, and long-term support. Prior experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks is preferred. The position is full-time and requires a commitment to delivering exceptional patient service while adhering to all safety and confidentiality standards. Responsibilities Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor and record vital signs accurately using appropriate medical terminology and techniques Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and aseptic techniques Document patient information meticulously in electronic health records (EHR/Epic systems) Utilize specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts and catheters to ensure safe patient handling and comfort Provide specialized care for patients with dementia, Alzheimer's, or behavioral health needs, including memory care strategies Support patients with complex medical needs in settings such as ICU, emergency departments, or post-acute care units Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans Maintain infection control standards during all patient interactions, especially in infectious disease or trauma center environments Assist in patient transfers and mobility exercises using proper body mechanics and safety protocols Qualifications Valid CNA certification required; experience in long-term care, assisted living, hospital medicine, or behavioral health is highly desirable Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks preferred Experience working with diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, or individuals with disabilities or developmental delays is advantageous Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support procedures (BLS) necessary for safe patient care Prior experience in acute care settings such as ICU or Level I Trauma Centers is a plus Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments like emergency medicine or urgent care units Strong communication skills and compassionate caregiving attitude essential for working with vulnerable populations including hospice or memory care patients Must be able to pass background checks and comply with infection control protocols This position offers an enriching environment for healthcare professionals committed to making a difference through dedicated patient-centered care.
