Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Nurse Aide 3 to 11 to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care, demonstrating proficiency in assisting with daily living activities, medical procedures, and maintaining a safe environment for our residents. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring long-term and post-acute care. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care by assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support. Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates, ensuring accurate documentation in electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems). Support patients with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts and ensure safe transfer methods are followed. Assist with medication administration under supervision, adhering strictly to HIPAA regulations and medication protocols. Maintain a clean, safe environment by following aseptic techniques and infection control procedures. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure holistic care delivery. Participate in ongoing training related to emergency procedures, CPR certification, dementia care, hospice support, and other specialized areas as required. Skills Proven experience working with geriatric patients in long-term care or skilled nursing settings. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks for medical documentation. Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs assessment, and basic life support (BLS). Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia-related conditions such as Alzheimer's disease. Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while adhering to safe lifting practices. Strong caregiver communication skills with an emphasis on patient service and compassionate caregiving. Basic understanding of infection control practices and aseptic techniques necessary for healthcare environments.
