Job Description

Proud to offer daily pay!!!! Waco Healthcare, is looking for CNA's full time 6am to 6pm.
Summary:
Provide quality nursing care to residents; implement specific procedures and programs; coordinate work within the department; report pertinent information to the immediate supervisor; respond to inquiries or requests for information; assist the immediate supervisor with tasks to support department operations.
Shift:
Full time 6am to 6pm, rotating weekends
Responsibilities Specialized Care:
Provide dedicated, quality nursing care within the Memory Care Unit, attending to the unique psychological, cognitive, and physical needs of residents with dementia or Alzheimer's.
Daily Living Assistance:
Attend to the individual needs of residents, including assistance with grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, incontinent/colostomy care, toileting, prosthetic appliances, transferring, ambulation, and range of motion, in keeping with care plans and scope of practice.
Resident Dignity & Environment:
Maintain the comfort, privacy, and dignity of each resident. Interact with residents in a warm, empathetic manner that promotes a calm, safe, and caring environment tailored to memory care needs.
Advocacy & Safety Reporting:
Fully understand all aspects of residents' rights, including the right to be free of restraints and abuse. Responsibly and promptly report any incidents, evidence of abuse, or violations of rights to the charge nurse or administrative staff.
Operational Support:
Answer residents' call bells promptly and courteously, and assist with orienting residents and their families to the unit upon admission or transfer.
Physical Mobility & Records:
Lift, move, and transport residents using proper body mechanics or lifting devices. Accurately complete certified nursing assistant records to document care provided in alignment with department policies.
Infection Control:
Perform all job responsibilities in accordance with prescribed safety and infection control procedures, including thorough hand washing, use of disposable gloves, and proper disposal of soiled materials. Perform other tasks, duties and responsibilities as requested by clinical leadership or Administrative Staff.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Prior experience working on a dedicated Memory Care Unit or supporting individuals with advanced cognitive decline is preferred.
License:
Current CNA license
