Job Description Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our educational team at Orange County High as a Teacher for the Nurse Aide program. This full-time position is responsible for providing high-quality instruction to students pursuing a career in nursing and healthcare. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards for the Nurse Aide program. Instruct students in both classroom and clinical settings, ensuring they acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in the healthcare field. Assess student performance through regular evaluations, providing constructive feedback and support for improvement. Collaborate with other faculty members and healthcare professionals to enhance the educational experience and ensure program effectiveness. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress, and communicate with students and parents as needed. Stay current with industry trends and best practices in nursing education, incorporating new techniques and technologies into the curriculum. Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love for learning. Organize and participate in student recruitment, community outreach, and program promotion activities. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to nursing education and certification. Requirements
  • Hold a current, unrestricted Virginia license or multistate licensure privilege as a registered nurse.
  • Two years of experience as a registered nurse and at least one year of direct client care or supervisory experience in the provision of long-term care services.
Experiences may include employment in a nurse aide education program or employment in, or supervision of nursing students in, a nursing facility or unit, geriatrics department, chronic care hospital, home care, or other long-term care setting.
  • Strong knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and healthcare professionals.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated on industry advancements.
