Resident Assistant Team Lead - (6a-6p) (every other Sat/Sun)

Job Description

Your Family. Our Focus. Rare opportunity to join an amazing team of individuals committed to compassionate, quality care! With dedicated nursing, activities, dietary, and housekeeping personnel, our caregivers can focus on what matters most - our residents. As a Residential Care Apartment Complex (RCAC), our residents live in their own apartments, furnish them as they please, and come and go as they choose. To these essentials, assisted living adds around-the-clock caring with peace of mind that comes from a secure environment. Residents can get help whenever they need it - with medications, bathing, and dressing. Meal preparation, housekeeping service, transportation, and social activities are all part of this lifestyle. The goal is to meet each person's needs, even as those needs change, maximizing independence for as long as possible. At Colby Senior Care, we strive to promote independence, preserve dignity and offer choices that lead to happier living. Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Resident Assistant to help lead our team in providing exceptional care to residents. The ideal candidate will have experience in assisted living or caregiving. The Team Lead Resident Assistant is the designated person to be "in charge" whenever the Executive Director (ED) or Director of Nursing (DON) is not present, and will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Duties Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing. Provide support with mobility and lifting as needed to ensure resident safety. Monitor and document residents' physical and emotional well-being, reporting any changes to the nursing staff. Engage residents in social activities and promote a positive community environment. Maintain cleanliness and organization of resident living areas and common spaces. Uphold resident rights and dignity while providing care. Implement behavior management strategies when necessary to support residents with challenging behaviors. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care tailored to individual needs. Medication Administration Qualifications Previous experience in caregiving or assisted living is required. CNA Certification and Medication Administration Experience Preferred Positive Work History and References. Knowledge of first aid procedures and emergency response protocols is a plus. Strong understanding of resident rights and commitment to maintaining their dignity. Ability to assist residents safely with transfers while adhering to proper techniques. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others in a home community care setting. Willingness to undergo any required training or certifications related to caregiving and resident assistance. Join us in making a difference in the lives of our residents by providing them with the highest level of care and support!
