Smoking Status:
Non smoking home. Veteran will need assistance with Personal Care (grooming/shower/standby assistance. Personal Care task is a requirement) ,light housekeeping, and light meal preparation (breakfast/lunch). Professional companionship/watch care is required during the hours of care.
Requested schedule is:
M- Th 9am start time. 4 hours on Monday, 3 Tuesday - Thursday. Veteran is approved for 13 hours a week. Duties Assist Veterans with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support. Support medication reminders. Medication is not to be given to the client only encouraged to take Help with light meal preparation, feeding assistance(if needed), and nutrition to promote overall well-being Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties Observe and report changes in Veterans condition or behavior on the Service Delivery Form. Follow the Care Plan created by the Registered Nurse Provide emotional support and professional companionship to enhance Veterans quality of life Transfers Assist with incontinence care, including changing briefs as needed. Qualifications Prior experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, in home care is preferred Knowledge of patient observation and documentation Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable; willingness to obtain certifications if not already held Familiarity with HIPAA regulations ensuring confidentiality of patient information Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills and a strong sense of responsibility Flexibility to work part-time hours on a weekly schedule that suits the Veterans request schedule and your availability Join us in providing exceptional care for our Veterans!
