Job Description

About the Role We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Executive Director to lead a senior living community and oversee day-to-day operations while creating an exceptional experience for residents, families, and team members. The Executive Director will provide strategic and operational leadership across all areas of the community, including resident care, staffing, financial performance, regulatory compliance, customer satisfaction, sales and occupancy, and team development. This is an opportunity for a hands-on leader who understands senior living operations and is passionate about creating a welcoming community where residents can thrive and employees feel valued and supported. Key Responsibilities Provide overall leadership and direction for the community and its operations. Ensure residents receive high-quality care and services in a safe, respectful, and engaging environment. Build strong relationships with residents, families, employees, healthcare professionals, and community partners. Recruit, hire, train, coach, and retain a high-performing team. Partner with department leaders to establish goals, monitor performance, and address operational challenges. Maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, licensing requirements, and company policies. Oversee staffing levels, scheduling, labor management, and employee engagement. Monitor community financial performance, including budget management, expenses, labor costs, and revenue. Support sales and marketing efforts to maintain strong occupancy and census growth. Develop and maintain positive relationships with prospective residents and their families throughout the decision-making process. Respond promptly and professionally to resident and family concerns. Promote a strong culture of accountability, teamwork, hospitality, and service excellence. Conduct regular community rounds and remain visible and accessible to residents and team members. Identify opportunities to improve resident satisfaction, employee engagement, operational efficiency, and overall community performance. Participate in leadership meetings, quality assurance initiatives, and strategic planning. Ensure the community is prepared for regulatory surveys, audits, and inspections. Serve as a positive ambassador for the community within the local market. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, gerontology, or a related field preferred. Previous leadership experience in senior living, assisted living, memory care, long-term care, healthcare, or a related setting . Demonstrated experience leading teams and managing day-to-day operations. Strong understanding of senior living regulations, staffing practices, and quality standards. Experience with budgeting, financial management, and operational performance. Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Ability to build trusting relationships with residents, families, employees, and business partners. Ability to balance business objectives with a strong commitment to resident care and quality of life. Must meet applicable state licensing and regulatory requirements for an Executive Director/Administrator role.
