This is a leadership position and must be taken seriously . The Assistant Manager is expected to lead by example, maintain accountability among staff, assist with the daily operation of the home, and ensure the health, safety, and well-being of our residents. The Assistant Manager will work closely with the Manager and other members of the leadership team while also being expected to operate independently when management is not present. Schedule - 41

Hours Per Week Tuesday:

5:30 AM-9:30 AM & 4:00 PM-8:00

PM Wednesday:

5:30 AM-9:30 AM & 4:00 PM-8:00

PM Thursday:

5:30 AM-9:30 AM & 4:00 PM-8:00

PM Friday:

5:30 AM-2:30

PM Saturday:

11:30 AM-7:30

PM Total:

41 hours per week

Important:

The Manager is off on Fridays and Saturdays. During these times, the Assistant Manager will serve as the primary person in charge and will be responsible for handling staff call-outs, emergencies, concerns, and other issues that may arise. Assistant Manager Responsibilities The Assistant Manager will be responsible for: Providing leadership and supervision to Direct Support Professionals Ensuring staff follow company policies, procedures, and resident support plans Handling staff call-outs, emergencies, and concerns while the Manager is off on Fridays and Saturdays Coordinating and overseeing Saturday community outings Assisting with the daily operation, cleanliness, organization, and safety of the group home Ensuring residents receive appropriate supervision and support Following and helping enforce residents' behavior support and implementation plans Communicating concerns and important information to management Assisting staff when needed and holding team members accountable to expectations Demonstrating professional, mature, and value-based conduct at all times Prioritizing, multitasking, problem-solving, and making appropriate leadership decisions with limited supervision Medication Administration Because this is an Assistant Manager position, the employee must successfully complete and maintain Medication Administration Validation and be authorized to administer medications . The Assistant Manager will be expected to administer medications according to residents' medication orders, MARs, company procedures, and applicable requirements. Successful Medication Administration Validation is required for this position. Required Certification Current CPR certification is required. Applicants must maintain all required certifications and training throughout employment. Qualifications Previous caregiving or Direct Support Professional experience preferred Leadership or supervisory experience preferred Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred Strong communication and organizational skills Dependable and punctual Ability to effectively supervise and assist other staff Ability to work independently with limited supervision Ability to respond appropriately to emergencies and behavioral situations Must take accountability and leadership responsibilities seriously Reliable transportation and ability to commute to Winter Garden, FL 34787 Compensation $17.00 per hour Employees in this position are also eligible for a $200 monthly performance-based bonus incentive .
