Prefer at least 2 year experience working in a personal care home
Will need to pass a criminal background fingerprint check through Cogent
Will need to provide physical and TB test that is not over a year old.
Strong work history/good references
Ability to follow directions, good judgement, compassion and emotional maturity
Ability to treat and care for residents and their property with dignity and respect
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversight daily operation of High Cotton Homes, LLC designated facility 1.
On call 24 hours 7 days per week (unless another staff person has been approved by administrator to cover call) 2. Implement payroll, hiring, firing, monitor quality of staff 3. Work closely with Department of Community Health, following regulations and state survey 4.
Work closely with:
a. Ombudsmen b. Families c. Doctors d. Hospice e. Home Health f. Rehab
Responsible for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll 1. Work closely with accountant and executive director related to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll
Work closely with executive director related to any concerns/issues that might occur
Work closely with all vendors
Create monthly menus, staff schedules, and activities calendars
Monitor any grievances from residents, families, or staff
Implement and carry out all special functions
Implement and carry out all marketing
Monitor fire drills and disaster drills related to all State Regulations
Serves as Liaison in the community
Implemented all education required from State of Georgia Department of Community Health related to staff
Monitor daily census
Provide tours, admissions and discharges
Will follow written plan of care that is implemented for resident
Will perform health maintenance activities for residents, provided that resident or responsible party has signed a written consent form
Provide assistance with medication (must have physician order) in a timely manner (no more than one hours prior to directed time or one hour later, with exception of insulin)
Proper documentation and record keeping using Medication Assistant Record (MAR)
Will apply patches, topical medications and assist with drops, nasal sprays and inhalers.
Follows High Cotton Homes, LLC Policy and Procedures
Maintains awareness of Resident's whereabouts
Performs personal care duties promptly; maintain Resident's dignity and independence at all times
Pleasant and respectful to resident's, families, guests and other staff
Document Resident care rendered per shift on forms provided by High Cotton Homes, LLC
Answers Call System promptly without delay
Counts narcotics at beginning of shift with Proxy Caregiver going off duty
(if Proxy Caregiver coming on shift is not able to cover shift, Administrator will cover if no fellow co-workers will come in)
Counts narcotics at end of shift with Proxy Caregiver coming on duty
Refer to above statement
Reports for work on time and works entire shift
Willing to cover a shift if someone calls out
Professionally dressed
Must satisfactorily complete continuing education each year, in courses relevant to job duties, including but not limited to, appropriate education assistance, working with the elderly, working with the mentally ill, and developmentally disable, social and recreational activities, legal issues, physical maintenance and fire safety, housekeeping, or other topics as needed or as determined by the Department Community Health • Must have 16 hours of in-services/training per year • Will attend 8-hour Proxy Caregiver training and recertification each year
