Job Description

Overview The Nursing Home Administrator plays a critical role in overseeing the daily operations of a nursing home facility. This position requires a dedicated professional who is passionate about providing high-quality care to residents while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The Administrator will lead a team of healthcare professionals and support staff, fostering an environment that promotes the well-being and dignity of all residents. Duties Oversee the overall operations of the nursing home, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. Develop and implement care plans tailored to meet the individual needs of residents. Manage financial aspects including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting to ensure the facility operates within budgetary constraints. Supervise staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations to maintain high standards of care. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to enhance resident care and improve service delivery. Ensure that all operational policies and procedures are followed consistently by staff members. Foster relationships with residents, families, and community stakeholders to promote a positive image of the facility. Address any concerns or complaints from residents or their families promptly and effectively. Skills Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting and financial management. Knowledge of senior care practices, particularly in assisted living environments. Proven experience in operations management within a healthcare setting. Familiarity with home community care services and best practices for resident care. Ability to supervise staff effectively while promoting professional development. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and staff members. Strong problem-solving abilities to address challenges that arise in day-to-day operations. This role is essential for maintaining a nurturing environment that prioritizes resident care while ensuring operational efficiency. The Nursing Home Administrator will be instrumental in shaping the quality of life for residents through effective leadership and management.
