Executive Director Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Executive Director to lead our organization. As the Executive Director, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our operations and providing strategic leadership to drive growth and success. This is a senior leadership position that requires strong business acumen, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to effectively manage a team.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Uphold and promote the philosophy of respecting residents' dignity, privacy, independence, choice, and individuality. 2. Ensure compliance with all regulations and community-specific policies and procedures. 3. Conduct thorough resident assessments on applicants, in conjunction with the Director of Resident Care and Director of Sales and Leasing, ensuring all residents are appropriate for occupancy at the Community. 4. Manage resident move-ins, ensuring accurate completion of required paperwork. 5. Develop individualized resident service plans, in conjunction with the Director of Resident Care, that address the specific needs and preferences of each resident; ensure evaluations are made on a regular basis and as significant changes occur. 6. Oversee the provision of high-quality resident services to ensure the highest quality of care, including the coordination of those services provided to residents by third-party providers. 7. Coordinate the transfer of residents to more appropriate care settings, as needed either on a temporary or permanent basis and oversees any necessary eviction proceedings. 8. Supervise, train, and manage staff, including appropriate documentation in personnel files. Ensure a clear definition of lines of responsibility, equitable workloads, direction, and adequate supervision. 9. Conduct marketing, leasing, and public relations functions to ensure a favorable public image of the Community is maintained and occupancy projections are reached. 10. Ensure that Community records are maintained in an accurate manner and in accordance with policies and procedures and regulatory requirements, including resident, personnel, and administrative records. 11. Knowledge of all business office functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll, according to established procedures. 12. Provide the Manager's Office with routine reports and other requested information as needed. 13. Ensure the Community building and grounds are maintained in a clean, attractive, and safe condition and all needed preventative maintenance is performed in a timely manner. 14. Oversee the planning and implementation of a holistic social and recreational program that addresses the social, spiritual, emotional, and physical needs of the residents. 15. Ensure residents' families, physicians, and others as appropriate are kept informed of changes in resident conditions and service needs. 16. Assist the Director of Resident Care in the supervision of residents' general care needs. 17. Make special provisions for the safety and guidance of residents with physical limitations, including visual or auditory deficiencies. 18. Ensure appropriate utilization of community resources, including the provision of transportation, as needed/appropriate. 19. Investigate, respond, and seek evidence, if necessary, for any concerns or complaints expressed by residents, families, and/or staff. 20. Report all unusual incidents and changes in condition to the State certification agency as required by regulation; report any suspected resident abuse to the Ombudsman, adult protective services, the State certification agency, and the resident's responsible party. 21. Be available on an on-call basis to provide consultation to staff as needed; arrange for appropriate coverage when unavailable. 22. Communicate with and support the goals and objectives set forth by Springs of Austin Assisted Living and Memory Care. 23. Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications & Physical Requirements:

1. Must have a current Assisted Living Administrator license. 2. Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, staffing, and scheduling. 3. Strong leadership and motivational skills. 4. Strong computer and internet skills, including Microsoft Office suite. 5. Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress. 6. Strong organizational skills, able to multi-task, and can manage time to meet frequently changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 7. College Degree in Health Care Administration or a related field preferred. 8. Three to five years of experience in long term care, senior living, or related area. 9. Experience in supervising and managing staff. 10. Financial Reporting and/or P&L experience. 11. Alzheimer's/Memory care communities experience is a plus.
