This role blends hands-on healthcare management with enriching activity coordination tailored specifically for individuals living with memory-related disorders.
Memory Care Director Job Profile:
A Leader in
Health and Wellness Staff Coordination and Recruitment:
Maintain optimal staffing and scheduling using advanced staffing software. Assist with the recruitment, hiring, and training of a robust healthcare team. Lead monthly staff meetings and daily team huddles to foster a collaborative learning environment.
Resident-Centered Care:
Perform comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans focusing on personalized wellness and memory care needs. Design, coordinate, and implement engaging activities that cater to the social, emotional, and physical needs of memory care residents.
Effective Communication and Community Engagement:
Liaise with internal staff and external third-party vendors to ensure seamless care coordination. Create monthly newsletters and calendars, distribute to residents and families to promote community engagement. Facilitate personal connections by compiling resident biographies and welcoming new families.
Regulatory Compliance and Quality Assurance:
Oversee service agreements, update physician orders, and maintain Electronic Medication Administration Records (EMAR). Conduct weekly medication cart audits, Medication Administration Record (MAR) reviews, and manage expired medication retrieval. Assist with incident reports and investigations, upholding best practices in memory care.
Memory Care Director Job Requirements:
Lead with
Expertise and Compassion Relevant Experience:
Background in senior care, preferably in a wellness, medication management, or memory care capacity. At least 1 year of experience in managing activities for memory care residents.
Skills and Qualifications:
