Program Director/Instructor - Certified Nurse Assistant/Home Health Aide at Southern California Regional Occupational Center (SoCal ROC) Print Application Deadline Until Filled Date Posted 7/27/2026 Contact Conor Mangan Number of Openings 1 Salary Pay dependent on experience Add'l Salary Info $37.04-$45.02 an hour Length of Work Year 12 months Employment Type Part Time Job Summary Job Summary SoCal ROC is seeking a qualified and passionate instructor to teach our CDPH-approved Certified Nurse Assistant/Home Health Aide program. In this role, you will prepare students for entry-level careers in hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, extended-care facilities, and in-home care settings. You will guide students through both the theoretical and hands-on clinical components of the program, helping them become eligible for state CNA certification and the California Home Health Aide certificate. Key Responsibilities
Deliver classroom instruction and supervise hands-on clinical training at a skilled nursing facility
Teach core curriculum topics including, but not limited to:
Title XXII and OBRA regulations, including patient rights
Vital signs, fluid intake and output, and specimen collection
Personal hygiene, body mechanics, nutrition, and activities of daily living
Basic anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, and abbreviations
Nursing process and communication skills
In-home Care
Prepare students for the California state CNA exam and Home Health Aide certificate application
Develop and maintain lesson plans, instructional materials, and student assessments
Monitor and support individual student progress, providing guidance and intervention as needed
Maintain compliance with CDPH program standards and requirements
Foster a safe, respectful, and professional learning environment Required Qualifications
Current, active California Registered Nurse (RN) license and meets CDPH instructor eligibility requirements for CNA training programs
Practical experience in nursing, patient care, specifically one (1) year must be in providing care and services to chronically ill or elderly patients (long-term care facility or skilled nursing facility), AND one (1) year must be in providing direct patient care employed by a Home Health Requirements / Qualifications For more information on Requirements/Qualifications, please contact the employer.
