Position Summary We are seeking a knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and student-focused Nursing Instructor with clinical expertise in Obstetric (OB), Pediatric, and/or Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing to join our nursing program. Hiring OB/Peds Essential Responsibilities Teach nursing theory, skills laboratory, and clinical courses in accordance with the approved curriculum.
Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans, lectures, demonstrations, and learning activities. Supervise and evaluate students during clinical rotations to ensure safe and effective patient care. Assess student performance through examinations, skills evaluations, assignments, and clinical observations. Maintain accurate student records, attendance, grades, and required documentation. Provide academic advising, mentoring, and remediation for students as needed. Ensure compliance with state board of nursing regulations, accreditation standards, and school policies. Participate in faculty meetings, curriculum development, program evaluation, and continuous quality improvement initiatives. Promote professionalism, ethical practice, patient safety, and evidence-based nursing care. Maintain current knowledge of nursing practice and educational best practices. Minimum Qualifications Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment. Minimum of three years of recent clinical nursing experience. Previous teaching, precepting, or staff education experience preferred. Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) required. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with basic computer applications and learning management systems. Preferred Qualifications Experience teaching in a vocational or practical nursing program, in OB, PEDS, and Psychology. Familiarity with state board of nursing requirements and accreditation standards. Experience in curriculum development and student assessment.
