Adjunct Faculty are responsive to their students and support their success through timely communication, feedback, and assessment of student learning. An opportunity to join a premier community college as an Adjunct Faculty member in the Health and Human Services Nursing program. Primary responsibility will be to teach in a clinical setting and the human patient simulation lab in alignment with objectives and outcomes for the department. Job Responsibilities Must be able to work effectively with a group of 8 students who are each caring for Pediatric Patients. Teach Nursing courses as assigned by the department. Maintain course materials in the College's Learning Management System (LMS), including, but not limited to, announcement, syllabus, and gradebook. Keep gradebook up to date and submit final grades by published deadlines. Participate and actively cooperate with the department and Learning Unit to meet accreditation standards. Assist in facilitating student clinical and or lab experiences as assigned. Participate in course assessments that will accurately measure achievement of student learning outcomes as assigned. Complete training for various instructional delivery modalities as required. Complete training required by clinical agencies Maintain faculty credentials as required by the College's accrediting agencies. Attend Faculty Development Days and/or Institutional Development Days as schedule permits. Participate in Learning Unit committees as schedule permits. Other duties as assigned in compliance with the AAFMCC collective bargaining agreement. Education Bachelor of Science in Nursing required. Must hold a Registered Nurse License (RN) in the State of Michigan, hold a valid Basic Life Support Certificate, and have a minimum of two (2) years of full-time, non-teaching work experience in Childhood Nursing within the past two (2) years. Qualifications Must have Current State of Michigan RN license Basic Life Support Certificate Individual must have a minimum of 2 years recent acute care experience working in Pediatrics
