The role of the Nurse Aide Instructor is to provide teaching strategies that will maximize student success in the course. The Nurse Aide course curriculum is mandated by the Department of Health Services Regulation and the instructor is expected to deliver the curriculum in accordance with CCCC faculty policy. Central Carolina Community College is committed to lifelong student learning. Central Carolina Community College instructors accomplish this by presenting discipline specific learning outcomes through lecture, demonstration, projects, assignments, appropriate classroom management, and by providing authentic student assessment that documents learning outcomes. Salary depends on education and experience.
Associate Degree salary range:
$51,380
  • $58,553 Bachelor's Degree salary range: $54,437
  • $61,973 Master's Degree salary range: $57,149
  • $ 64,387 Doctorate Degree salary range: $61,058
  • $67,990 Pursuant to House Bill 259, Section 39.
23, effective July 1, 2023, the starting annual salaries of nursing faculty positions at CCCC shall be increased by at least 10%. This change is reflected in the salary range posted. Please include unofficial copies of undergraduate and graduate transcripts. Will be required to submit official copies of transcripts before start date. This position may have occasional travel between campuses and for training. Occasional after hours may be required. This position requires face to face teaching . Embrace the institutional goals of Central Carolina Community College by engaging students as full partners in the learning process, removing barriers for student progression in medical programs, and supporting and assisting students in achieving their educational goals. Use teaching methodology that incorporates nurse aide concepts in a dynamic instructional environment that promotes a positive, interactive, and inclusive learning experience for all students. Travel to other sites and campuses within the service area of Chatham, Harnett, and Lee counties may be required. Be responsible for and perform other such duties as may be assigned. Provides Department of Health Services Regulation (DHSR) regulated curriculum to Nurse Aide students in accordance with CCCC faculty policy. Responsible for preparing and delivering theory, lab, and clinical components of the course. Administers written and skills exams. Responsible for completing and maintaining accurate class reports, rosters, and grade reports. Responsible for lab practice sessions and skills check-off. Prepares for and delivers classes as assigned. Assist with class coordination as needed. Assists in maintaining equipment. Submits class rolls and documentation per policy. Maintains current industry licensure. Other duties as assigned. Must be able to travel to various clinical locations. Associate degree in Nursing; AND Current unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse in the State of North Carolina; AND At least two (2) years (4000 hours) of work experience as a registered nurse; AND Completion of course in teaching adults, experience in teaching adults, OR experience in supervising nurse aides.
