Continuous Description The Adjunct Nursing Instructor is a part - time position serving as an adjunct teaching faculty member responsible for instructing students on-campus, in clinical sites, and through other delivery methodologies in accordance with College policy and procedures. The relationship of this adjunct faculty member to the student is one of a leader, teacher, advisor, and facilitator of learning. Examples of Duties Essential Duties Participates in clinical advising of nursing students Participates in development, implementation, evaluation, and revision of curriculum as indicated. Maintain professional competence and environment Participate in professional development activities is required Work cooperatively with peers while supporting the mission and vision of the College Adhere to rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of the College nursing program Typical Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Two years of clinical experience in an Acute Care setting within the last five years Must hold a current unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina, a Nurse Licensure Compact State, or to be eligible for licensure (must have a temporary license before employment) Current Healthcare Provider BLS (American Heart Association) Current immunizations and annual tuberculosis screening Current medical/surgical, ED, OB, or critical care experience required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's Degree in Nursing preferred Five years of clinical experience Teaching experience in a community college
