Description:
This Clinical Nursing Instructor works with high school students enrolled in the Nursing Assistant Program, providing hands-on instruction and supervision during clinical rotations in local long-term care facilities. This position guides students through state-approved curriculum and

competencies, ensuring they develop the knowledge, skills, and professionalism required for certification and success in the healthcare field.
Duties:
Actively guide students through state-approved curriculum and learning basic care skills meeting
DSHS/DOH
skills competency in the lab and in our local long-term care facilities Work with students to meet up to 20 hours of clinical competency check off in classroom lab and between 40-60 hours of direct care in our local long term care facilities Knowledge

Nursing Assistant competencies . Center instruction on high expectations for student achievement. Demonstrate effective teaching practices. Recognize individual student learning needs and develop strategies to address those needs. Provide clear and intentional focus on subject matter content and curriculum. Foster and manage a safe, positive learning environment for all students. Communicate and collaborate with Nursing Assistant Program Teacher. Exhibit collaborative and collegial practices focused on improving instructional practice and student learning. Excellent attendance and punctuality required. Other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
Current unobstructed WA license as an RN/LPN in good standing with no action against that license for working with vulnerable populations Background Check required to work in local Health Agencies Experience working as a NAC Supervisor Long Term Care experience preferred Approved application with
DOH/DSHS
as a NAC Program Clinical instructor (will be completed after hire) Commitment to the education profession as evidenced by participation in curriculum development projects, District or building-level committees, professional organizations, and by evidence of continuing education.
Physical Requirements:
The job's functions requires the following physical demands: Occasional lifting (up to 50 pounds); carrying, pushing and/or pulling; some climbing; some stooping, kneeling, crouching and/or crawling; and significant reaching, handling, speaking, writing, hearing, and fine finger dexterity; frequent standing, walking, and sitting.
