Home Care Service Nurse Supervisor

Job Description

Job Summary:
The Home Care Service Nurse Coordinator is a permanent, full-time position with the Department of Public Health. This position is advanced professional nursing work supervising a local home care or life care program.
Responsibilities:
Clinical Manager will provide supervision and oversight of all branch personnel and manage patient care service delivery. Supervision and Oversight must include ensuring branch office remains in compliance with all Federal, State and Agency Policies and ensure that patient's needs are met. Supervises and Manges HH clinical, financial, and QI operations by reviewing clinical/financial reports and patient care documentation so that budgetary and QAPI goals are met as evidence by Supervisory review and financial reports. Communicates in an appropriate manner with all internal and external customers to ensure correct and clear information is provided by deadlines as per supervisors' instructions as evidenced by supervisory review. Assists in the orientation of all staff, as assigned by the Home Health Manager, so that Department policies are followed, and staff performs their duties at required standards as evidenced by surveys, audits, supervisory review, and observation. Supervises (observes, reviews, and assesses) subordinates' work by making visits with staff to ensure adherence to operational policies, procedures and guidelines as evidenced by documentation of the site visits. Supervises subordinates routine work assignments/efficiency by ensuring the implementation and accountability of the Agency established Productivity standards for visiting staff as evidenced by supervisory review. Responds to emergency and disaster assignments in accordance with Department policy to protect the health and safety of others as evidenced by supervisor and on-site observation and no more than one valid complaint per year received by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
Master's degree from an accredited
  • college or university in Nursing and two years of professional nursing experience including one year of experience in home care. OR Bachelor's degree from an accredited
  • college or university in Nursing and three years of professional nursing experience including one year of experience in home care. OR Associate's degree from an accredited
  • college or university in Nursing or diploma in Nursing and five years of professional nursing experience including one year of experience in home care.
Possession of a license to practice professional nursing as issued by the Alabama Board of Nursing. Applicants must include their license number on their application. Pay:
$55,375.20 - $102,664.80 per year
