This is a supervisory level position responsible for oversight and delivery of nursing services in a residential setting. The position requires working with other professionals, para-professional,s and support staff delivering coordinated person centered services to substance abuse, mental health, co-occurring SA/MH individuals. As needed and scheduled is on call for total service delivery in the absence of the Program Manager, as assigned by the Program Manager. Referenced by policy numbers 100.000, 100.000A, and 100.004. 1. Provides direct supervision to nurses including hiring, termination, and completion of employee performance evaluations in accordance with agency policy. 2. Directs and coordinates provision of nursing services to persons served and ensures that quality services are delivered in a professional manner. 4. Participates in the unit's Quality Assessment and Improvement Program. 5. Prepares the staff work schedule for nurses ensuring that adequate staff coverage is continuously available. 6. Reviews all nursing and program policy at a minimum of one time per calendar year and assure implementation of policy and procedures as written and approved. 7. Teaches education classes or assures completion of classes via staff assignment to persons served including areas of pharmacy and activities of daily living, as assigned and required. 8. Participates in staff development activities including the provision of in service training as required or as requested. 9. Assures that documentation of nursing services and medication administration is entered into case records and medication administration records consistent with licensing and accreditation standards. 10. Assures nursing service delivery meets State of Florida licensure requirements (65D30 and 65D14) and also meets all county, state, federal regulatory and accreditation standards. 11. Provides on-call availability as assigned by the Program Manager. 12. Participates in the Pharmacy Committee and other committees as assigned. 13. Performs other reasonable and related duties as assigned. Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing and current licensure by the Florida Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse. Requires at least two (2) years of full-time experience as a nurse. Must maintain license as currently meeting RN license requirements. Previous supervisory experience is preferred. Pay:
$33.84 - $40.75 per hour
