Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled RN Supervisor (Relief) to oversee nursing operations across various care settings. The ideal candidate will possess extensive clinical expertise, leadership capabilities, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care. As an RN Supervisor (Relief), you will provide vital support in managing nursing staff, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and maintaining high standards of patient safety and satisfaction. This role offers an opportunity to lead diverse teams in dynamic environments, including acute care, long-term care, and specialized units, while fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate nursing staff across multiple shifts and units, ensuring optimal patient care delivery. Provide clinical oversight for patient assessments, vital signs monitoring, and medical documentation accuracy. Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, state healthcare laws, and long-term care standards. Assist in the development and implementation of nursing policies, procedures, and protocols aligned with best practices. Support the onboarding, training, and ongoing education of nursing personnel to maintain high competency levels. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate discharge planning, case management, and utilization review processes. Oversee medical documentation accuracy within electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Sigma Care. Manage medication administration, IV infusions, catheter care, tube feeding, and other complex clinical procedures. Conduct regular patient assessments utilizing physiology knowledge and diagnostic evaluation skills to inform care plans. Promote a safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols and managing emergency situations effectively. Requirements Valid RN license with current state registration; BSN preferred. Clinical experience in hospital or LTC care settings. Demonstrated supervisory or nurse management experience within long-term care or hospital environments. Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems familiarity with
ICD-9/ICD-10
coding is essential. Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations including HIPAA and long-term care regulations. Experience working with individuals with chronic illness, disabilities or behavioral health needs is desirable. Competence in clinical procedures such as IV administration. venipuncture, sterile processing, and specimen collection. Excellent communication skills for managerial coordination and team leadership; ability to handle complex case management scenarios effectively. Knowledge of medical terminology, pharmacology related to medication administration, and basic life support certification required. Pay:
$48.00 - $50.50 per hour Expected hours: 8.0 - 16.0 per week
