Job Overview •Currently offering a $3000 sign on bonus•We are seeking a dynamic and experienced RN Double Weekend Supervisor to lead our nursing team during weekend shifts, ensuring exceptional patient care and operational excellence. This pivotal role involves supervising nursing staff, coordinating patient assessments, and maintaining compliance with healthcare standards. Responsibilities Oversee and coordinate nursing activities during weekend shifts, ensuring high-quality patient care across various departments such as medical-surgical, geriatrics, behavioral health, and long-term care settings. Supervise nursing staff including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs, providing mentorship, performance feedback, and support to promote teamwork and professional development. Conduct thorough patient assessments, vital signs monitoring, and physical examinations to inform care plans. Ensure accurate medical documentation using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Epic or Cerner while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations. Manage medication administration, IV infusions, catheter care, wound suturing, and other clinical procedures following aseptic techniques and safety protocols. Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams for discharge planning, case management, and utilization review to optimize patient outcomes. Maintain infection control standards and ensure adherence to NCQA (National Committee for Quality Assurance) standards for quality assurance. Experience Proven supervisory experience in a healthcare setting with demonstrated leadership in managing nursing teams during weekend or shift-specific roles. Extensive clinical background including critical care experience such as ICU or Level I Trauma Center environments; experience in emergency medicine or hospital medicine is highly desirable. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems like Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth; familiarity with
ICD-9/10
coding and CPT coding for accurate documentation and billing. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and medical terminology necessary for comprehensive patient assessment and care planning. Experience working with diverse patient populations including geriatrics, pediatrics (including neonatal ventilator management), individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia care needs. Skilled in performing advanced clinical procedures such as venipuncture, phlebotomy, tube feeding management, spinal taps, cardiac catheterization assistance, airway management including ventilator support. Ability to lead a team effectively while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA and OSHA standards; previous nurse management or supervisory roles preferred.
