Job Description
The Nutrition Aide will report to the Nutrition Director. This person will be responsible for helping with food preparation, food inventory, and serving food to students. This candidate will need to have knowledge of general operation of basic cafeteria equipment and follow all State Health Requirements for food service workers. Must be able to properly communicate with the schools population.
The position hours are 6:00 am to 2:30pm Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities:
Food preparation and distributionManaging food allergiesHeavy lifting required (milk crates; food containers; etc) up to 50 poundsAssist with inventory of food, supplies, other itemsBasic knowledge of production recordsBasic computer knowledge (email, excel, computer programs)Organizing supplies, food items, paper goodsRotate supplies; FIFO; check dates; etc.
Maintaining a clean and sanitary work environmentCleaning equipment and workstationsSweeping and mopping floorsAll other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Must be 18 years of age or olderPrior experience in a school food service role a plusAllergen Awareness Certificate and/or can obtain within 90 daysCPR Training and Choking certification and/or can obtain within 90 daysFood Handlers Certificate within 90 daysThis position requires a satisfactory background check, which includes CORI and Fingerprinting.
