The Nutrition Services Technician supports the daily operation of the school nutrition program by assisting with food preparation, service, sanitation, and record keeping. This position helps ensure that meals are prepared and served in compliance with federal, state, and district regulations while maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for students and staff.\n

Essential Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED\nFood Service experience preferred\nWork well with children\nFirst aid knowledge preferred\nSatisfactory completion of criminal background check\n

Performance Responsibilities and Job Tasks:

Preparing, portioning, and serving food and beverages in accordance with standardized recipes and portion guidelines.\nCashiering and maintaining accurate records of payments.\nCleanup duties: clean and organize eating, service, and food preparation areas, wash pots, pans, dishes, utensils and other cooking equipment to ensure cleanliness and functional operation, and proper storage of leftovers. Arrange tables and decorations according to instructions. Compile and maintain records of food and beverage use and expenditures. Plan or assist with meeting special dietary or nutritional restrictions of students. Take inventory of supplies and equipment and notify cafeteria personnel of shortages and defective equipment. Train or assist with the training of new employees.
