Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Part-Time Dietetic Technician- RDT (Registered Dietetic Technician) on a contract basis! As a vital member of the nutrition services department, you will collaborate closely with healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized care plans, support patients with diverse dietary needs, and ensure optimal nutritional support across various settings. Responsibilities Assist registered dietitians in conducting patient assessments and nutritional evaluations, including diagnostic evaluations and long-term care planning. Develop, monitor, and adjust individualized nutrition care plans tailored to patients' medical conditions, including those requiring tube feeding or specialized dietary interventions. Provide nutrition counseling and health coaching to promote healthy lifestyle choices and support chronic disease management. Collaborate effectively with healthcare teams—including physicians, nurses, and therapists—to coordinate comprehensive patient care and ensure seamless electronic health records (EHR/EHR) management. Educate patients on nutrition support strategies, weight loss programs, and dietary modifications suited for geriatrics or acute care populations. Document all patient interactions, assessments, and care plans accurately within electronic medical records systems while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations. Requirements Current registration as a Dietetic Technician Registered (RDT) with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR). Proven experience working within clinical nutrition settings such as hospitals, long-term care facilities, or dietary departments. Strong knowledge of physiology, medical nutrition therapy (MNT), and nutrition support techniques including tube feeding. Demonstrated skills in motivational interviewing, client communication, and nutrition counseling tailored to individuals with specific dietary needs. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for documentation and electronic health records management. Ability to perform patient assessments accurately and efficiently in fast-paced settings such as acute care or geriatrics.
