Job Description

Compensation Mount Sinai South Nassau provides a salary range in good faith determination of potential compensation to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. Food & Nutrition Services Position Summary Summary:
The food service and clinical programs provide services based on department standards for meal delivery, nutritional assessment and patient education. Under the direction of the General Manager, Dietary Technicians provide appropriate therapeutic diets to all patients while providing great customer service.
Qualifications Responsibilities:
Education Required Must complete in-house orientation program High School Education and a minimum of 6 months experience in healthcare food and nutrition department OR Completion of 120 Hour Dietary Managers Course OR currently enrolled/has completed college coursework in Food and Nutrition Experience And Skills Excellent interpersonal skills Speaks, reads and writes English Must possess excellent customer service, telephone, and communication skills Must be computer literate License/Certifications • Working Conditions Other information: Working Conditions Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) worn Temperature of kitchen. Standing for periods of time. Walking. Moving about on foot to accomplish patient menu selections on assigned patient care areas. Frequent telephone use Sitting in front of a computer for long periods of time
