Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive occupational therapy services to diverse patient populations across various settings, including inpatient, outpatient, pediatric, and community-based environments. This role involves developing individualized treatment plans, conducting assessments, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to promote optimal functional independence and quality of life. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in clinical practice, evidence-based interventions, and effective client communication. Duties Conduct thorough occupational therapy assessments to evaluate patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional functioning. Develop and implement personalized treatment plans aimed at improving clients' abilities in activities of daily living (ADLs), mobility, and functional independence. Assist patients with discharge planning by coordinating care transitions and providing education on home modifications or adaptive strategies. Support individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorders through targeted interventions. Manage medical documentation accurately within electronic health records (EHR) systems, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams—including speech therapists, physical therapists, physicians, and educators—to deliver cohesive care. Provide occupational therapy services across various settings such as hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, schools, and home health environments. Conduct occupational therapy assessments specific to pediatrics and geriatrics to address unique developmental or age-related needs. Support early intervention programs by working with children with disabilities or developmental delays. Engage in case management activities to monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly. Educate clients and their families on therapy goals, adaptive techniques, and strategies for ongoing support at home or school. Experience Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities across multiple settings including inpatient, outpatient, school-based programs, or community health. Demonstrated expertise in pediatric occupational therapy, including working with children with special education needs and autism spectrum disorders support. Experience conducting occupational therapy assessments related to physical rehabilitation and post-acute care environments. Familiarity with medical terminology, physiology, anatomy knowledge, and clinical documentation standards. Prior involvement in discharge planning and case management within skilled nursing facilities or acute care settings such as ICU or medical-surgical units. Background working with patients requiring assistance with ADLs and implementing occupational therapy programs tailored to individual needs. Knowledge of evidence-based practices for neurodevelopmental disorders and disability support strategies. Skilled in electronic health records (EHR) management for accurate documentation of patient care activities. Ability to communicate effectively with clients of diverse backgrounds while fostering interprofessional collaboration. Pay:
$125,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
