Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a vital part in enhancing the quality of life for our residents through personalized therapy plans and compassionate care. You will work closely with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver effective treatment strategies that promote independence and well-being. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors while utilizing your expertise in patient care and behavioral interventions. Responsibilities Assess residents' functional abilities and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to their needs Implement therapeutic interventions focused on improving daily living skills, mobility, and cognitive function Utilize electronic health records (EHR) management systems to document progress and coordinate care Conduct wound care management and hyperbaric medicine treatments as required Engage with residents via telehealth platforms to provide remote therapy sessions when appropriate Educate residents, families, and staff on behavioral interventions, safety procedures, and adaptive techniques Ensure compliance with medical terminology standards, basic life support (BLS), and CPR protocols during all patient interactions Requirements Valid licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the relevant jurisdiction Proven experience working with culturally diverse communities to deliver inclusive care Strong knowledge of patient treatment planning, wound care, and behavioral interventions Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) management systems and telehealth platforms Certification in basic life support (BLS) and CPR is required Excellent client communication skills with the ability to build trust and rapport with residents and families Knowledge of hyperbaric medicine is a plus but not mandatory Join us to be part of a dedicated team committed to enriching seniors' lives through innovative therapy solutions.
