School Occupational Therapist - Kimberly, Idaho

Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact supporting students' growth and development in a vibrant school environment as a skilled Occupational Therapist. In this contract position, your expertise will help foster student independence, engagement, and participation in daily school activities. Working collaboratively with educators and families, you'll play a key role in delivering tailored therapy services that address each child's unique needs.
Qualifications & Required Experience:
Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program Current state OT license (or eligibility to obtain) Experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and documentation Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities Organized, flexible, and passionate about helping children succeed
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and provide direct therapy services to students with various developmental, physical, or sensory needs Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, supporting each student's educational goals Participate in multidisciplinary teams to create and review IEPs Consult with educators, staff, and families to recommend accommodations and support student success in the classroom Monitor progress, maintain detailed records, and complete all required documentation in a timely manner Provide training and education for school staff on OT strategies and supports
