Job Description

Persimmon Ridge Rehabilitation Centre & Pine Knoll Rehabilitation Centre Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist to evaluate, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans that help patients improve their ability to perform daily activities. The Occupational Therapist will collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to promote independence and achieve rehabilitation goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate patients' physical, cognitive, emotional, and environmental needs. Develop personalized treatment plans based on patient goals and assessments. Implement therapeutic interventions to improve daily living, work, and social skills. Teach patients adaptive techniques and recommend assistive devices or equipment. Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed. Educate patients, caregivers, and families on treatment strategies and home exercise programs. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, physical therapists, speech therapists, and other healthcare professionals. Ensure compliance with safety standards, ethical guidelines, and organizational policies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program (requirements vary by country). Current state or national licensure/certification to practice as an Occupational Therapist. Strong assessment, clinical reasoning, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques and adaptive equipment. Compassion and empathy when working with patients. Strong organizational and time management skills. Critical thinking and decision-making abilities. Flexibility to work with diverse patient populations. Ability to assist patients with movement and therapeutic activities. Prolonged standing, walking, bending, and lifting as needed. Manual dexterity for demonstrating exercises and using therapeutic equipment.
Pay:
$48.00 - $55.00 per hour
