In this role, you will evaluate patients' physical, sensory, and motor skills to develop personalized treatment plans that promote independence and improve quality of life. This work is in an outpatient pediatric clinic in Youngsville, La. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments to identify clients' strengths and areas for improvement Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with clinical best practices and client goals Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams Manage medical documentation accurately within electronic health records (EHR) systems while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations Provide therapy for individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders and support clients with disabilities across various age groups in a pediatric setting Engage in case management activities to monitor progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and ensure optimal patient care outcomes Offer specialized pediatric occupational therapy services including early intervention programs and working with students with disabilities in educational settings Educate patients and families on therapeutic exercises, adaptive techniques, and strategies to enhance daily functioning Requirements Valid license or certification as an Occupational Therapist in the respective jurisdiction Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and clinical documentation standards Experience working with neurodevelopmental disorders like autism spectrum disorders and implementing evidence-based practice approaches Skilled in developing treatment plans for physical rehabilitation occupational therapy and occupational health programs Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) management and medical documentation procedures Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members Experience working with pediatric populations through early intervention or school-based occupational therapy is highly desirable Knowledge of assistive devices and adaptive equipment for enhancing client independence in daily activities Join us in making a meaningful difference by empowering individuals through expert occupational therapy services.
