Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact by providing occupational therapy support to students in a supportive school environment. This contract opportunity offers the unique advantage of a consistent weekly schedule with a manageable caseload, allowing you to focus on quality care and individualized attention.
Key Qualifications:
Current Occupational Therapist (OT) license in Maine Recent experience working as an OT in an educational setting, with a solid understanding of IEP-driven services Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans Skilled in documentation and progress tracking Strong communication skills for collaboration with teachers, staff, and families Organizational skills to balance direct therapy sessions with related paperwork Must hold or obtain appropriate certification for Maine school-based practice
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy services onsite one day per week in a school setting, blending direct care (approximately 4 hours) and indirect tasks Support approximately 11 students, tailoring interventions to meet individual needs and IEP goals Participate in IEP meetings and partner with educators to facilitate student success in inclusive classroom environments Maintain timely, comprehensive documentation and compliance for all services rendered Engage in ongoing communication with faculty, staff, and families to support student progress and school initiatives This position offers a contract extending through June 11, 2027, with scheduling flexibility to fit your week.
