Job Description

Make a meaningful impact on students' lives as a contract Occupational Therapist supporting school communities near Benton Harbor, MI. Your expertise will help students access their education, gain independence, and reach their full potential in and out of the classroom.
Desired Qualifications:
Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program Active OT state license (or eligibility to obtain prior to start date) Experience working within K-12 educational settings preferred Strong understanding of IEP process and ability to develop individualized plans Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with teachers, families, and support staff Flexibility, creativity, and commitment to student-centered care
Core Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments to identify fine motor, sensory, or functional needs impacting students educational participation Develop and implement individualized therapy interventions based on students' IEPs Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to promote access and learning Provide direct therapy services in classroom and small group environments Monitor and document student progress, maintaining accurate records in compliance with school policies Offer strategies, modifications, and resources to teachers and parents to generalize skills throughout the school day Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and ongoing training as needed
