Job Description

Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Valid licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Michigan Previous experience working with school-aged children strongly preferred Knowledge of pediatric development and school-based interventions Strong communication skills to collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams Ability to manage a varied caseload and support students with diverse physical, sensory, and cognitive needs
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine students occupational therapy needs Develop and implement individualized intervention plans to support academic success and daily participation Collaborate with teachers, families, and other specialists to maximize student engagement and progress Maintain accurate and timely student records in compliance with federal, state, and district policies Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to educational planning for students with disabilities Provide training or consultation for staff members to build capacity within the school community
