The ideal candidate would be interested in working with the adult TBI population. Duties Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations using standardized and non-standardized assessments to identify physical, cognitive, sensory, psychosocial, behavioral, and executive functioning factors affecting vocational performance, and assess vocational readiness, strengths, interests, barriers, and support needs. Develop individualized, person-centered treatment plans with measurable goals addressing vocational participation, functional performance, safety, and independence. Provide skilled, evidence-based occupational therapy interventions within vocational environments, actively participating alongside individuals during meaningful work activities to facilitate skill development and successful task performance. Translate individualized treatment plans into practical strategies that can be implemented by Job Coaches, vocational staff, caregivers, employers, and other members of the interdisciplinary team. Provide education, coaching, and clinical guidance regarding therapeutic strategies, cueing techniques, compensatory approaches, behavioral supports, task adaptations, and environmental modifications Requirements Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist. Valid driver's license and clear driving record Experience working with individuals with TBI preferred Experience in vocational rehabilitation, supported employment or community-based rehabilitation preferred Ability to create effective care plans tailored to individual patient needs. Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. Ability to effectively manage caseload requirements About Life Skills This position will be responsible for evaluating and treating TBI patients , focusing on improving their ability to perform work activities with the hope of returning to competitive employment. This role requires a desire to work with TBI patients to help them attain their highest level of employment. The ideal candidate will have experience in an outpatient setting. The Occupational Therapist will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement effective care plans tailored to each patient's needs.
