Occupational Therapist- Montana Overview:
Salary is based on years of experience. Up to $15K Sign-on/Retention bonus and up to $7,500 in relocation assistance, to be discussed during the interview. We are seeking an Occupational Therapist for a perm staff position in MT. This role involves providing high-quality rehabilitative care to patients to build and maintain a rehab center of excellence. Normal patient care environment in a rehab center. The ideal candidate is adaptable, compassionate, and motivated to support patients in improving mobility, restoring function, and enhancing quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
Demonstrates positive, supportive, and caring behaviors in communication with patients/residents, families, visitors, physicians, staff, and others. Develops collaborative relationships with physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners to enhance quality practice. Provides ethical, safe, and quality Occupational Therapy care/treatment for residents/patients per standard of practice set forth in the American Occupational Therapy Association Code of Ethics and Guide for Professional Conduct as well as the State of Montana Occupational Therapy Examiners Rules and Statutes, and PMC policies and procedures. Provides occupational therapy services and consultation to residents and patients in the following areas: consultation regarding implementation of OBRA mandates and ADA; restraint reduction; feeding, swallowing and restorative dining programs; recommendations for and training in use of adaptive equipment for dressing, feeding and avocational needs; upper extremity range of motion, exercises and fine motor coordination training; psycho-social and cognitive skills and how they affect long-term

2care residents; wheelchair fitting, postural control and mobility training; sensory/perceptual training; orthotic training and custom fabrication for upper extremity conditions; restorative aide service; hand therapy, ergonomic assessments and home evaluations..
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited college or university. Montana occupational therapy license or willing to obtain. In good standing with current state licensing board. Minimum of two (2) years of experience with patient care. Or an equivalent combination of education and experience relating to the above tasks, knowledge, skills, and abilities will be consideration.
Job Type:
Permanent Facility may be able to assist with temporary housing at a reduced rate until employee finds perm housing with the relocation assistance provided (temp housing would be for employee only - no family or pets) Join us in an area that is an outside recreational person's dream paradise come true, with opportunities of hiking, camping, fishing etc. The community is a small tourist destination for a person looking for the outdoors but also raising a family as the community is very tight, close with each other.
Pay:
$36.64 - $52.76 per hour
