Job Overview The Occupational Therapist (OT) is responsible for providing high-quality outpatient occupational therapy services to children. The Occupational Therapist will conduct comprehensive evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, and collaborate with families, healthcare providers, schools, and community partners to improve functional independence, sensory processing, motor development, activities of daily living, and overall quality of life. As a member of Bridge Integrative Health, the Occupational Therapist contributes to a collaborative, patient-centered environment focused on clinical excellence, accessibility, whole-person care, and meaningful community partnerships. Responsibilities Conduct thorough occupational therapy assessments to evaluate children's motor skills, sensory processing, cognitive abilities, and daily living activities. Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each child's unique needs, goals, and strengths, ensuring alignment with best practices and evidence-based interventions. Implement engaging occupational therapy programs focused on improving fine motor skills, sensory integration, self-care routines, and adaptive techniques. Assist children with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as dressing, grooming, feeding, and toileting to foster independence. Collaborate with speech therapists, physical therapists, educators, and medical professionals to coordinate care plans and ensure holistic support. Support discharge planning by preparing families for continued therapy at home or in community settings post-treatment. Maintain accurate clinical documentation within electronic health records (EHR), including progress notes, treatment updates, and medical terminology reports. Qualifications Valid state licensure or certification as a Pediatric Occupational Therapist or equivalent credential. Proven experience working with children in pediatric occupational therapy settings—such as outpatient clinics, schools, early intervention programs, or inpatient facilities. Strong knowledge of pediatric physiology and anatomy relevant to occupational therapy assessments and interventions. Experience working with individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other disabilities. Skilled in developing treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices for pediatric clients. Familiarity with medical documentation standards and electronic health records (EHR) management systems. Excellent client communication skills to effectively engage children and educate families about therapy goals and progress.
