Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Make a difference in the lives of K-12 students as a contract Occupational Therapist working part-time, with a flexible schedule of 20-25 hours per week. This rewarding opportunity enables you to work closely with a diverse caseload, conducting assessments, attending IEP meetings, and providing essential support to both students and educational staff. You'll collaborate with committed team members, teachers, administration, and families to help students achieve their fullest potential. Candidates must bring strong clinical skills and a passion for working within school settings. With both your New Mexico Occupational Therapist license and PED certification, you'll be prepared to address student needs effectively and advocate for their success.
Qualifications:
Current New Mexico Occupational Therapist license (required) New Mexico Occupational Therapist PED certification (required) Experience working with K-12 students in educational or similar settings Demonstrated ability to conduct assessments and participate in IEP meetings Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and families Strong organizational abilities to manage documentation and caseload
Key Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive evaluations for K-12 students Develop and implement individualized therapy plans Attend and contribute to IEP meetings Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate therapy goals into the classroom Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with district and professional standards Offer guidance and resources to families seeking to support students' growth In return for your skills, you'll receive compensation ranging from $38/hr to $45/hr.
