Job Description

Occupational Therapist (OT) ABC Niños Special Needs Program - Queens, NY Full-Time / Part-Time •
School Year Schedule About Us:
ABC Niños Special Needs Program is a New York State-approved 4410 preschool special education program located in Queens, NY. We serve children ages 2-5 with developmental delays and disabilities in a nurturing, inclusive environment that emphasizes early intervention and whole-child development.
Job Summary:
ABC Niños is seeking a qualified and passionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to support the motor, sensory, and daily living skill development of young children with special needs. The OT will provide services in alignment with each child's Individualized Education Program (IEP) and collaborate closely with classroom teams and families.
Responsibilities:
Conduct occupational therapy evaluations in accordance with NYSED and NYC DOE requirements. Develop and implement IEP goals focused on fine motor, sensory integration, self-help, and functional skills. Deliver direct therapy services (individual and group) to preschool-aged students (2-5 years old). Collaborate with special education teachers, paraprofessionals, and related service providers to integrate therapeutic strategies into the classroom. Provide written progress reports, maintain session documentation, and attend CPSE and team meetings. Offer guidance to families to support skill development at home and in daily routines.
Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program (required) Current New York State License to practice Occupational Therapy (required) At least 1 year of pediatric or early childhood experience (preferred) Experience working in a special education or preschool setting (preferred) Bilingual (Spanish-English) is a plus

Knowledge of sensory processing, fine motor development, and early childhood milestones Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work as part of a collaborative, interdisciplinary team Compassionate, patient, and child-centered approach Organized, dependable, and proactive in documentation and service delivery
