We are an established, private optometric practice in lower Westchester seeking a friendly, energetic, and compassionate individual to join our team in a long-term position. About the Position This is a unique opportunity to become an integral part of our practice. Depending on your interests and strengths, your role may include working at the front desk, assisting patients in our optical department, and/or training to become a Vision Therapist. As a Vision Therapist, you'll work one-on-one with children and adults to improve visual skills, including eye teaming, focusing, tracking, and visual processing. No prior experience with vision therapy is required, as we provide comprehensive, hands-on training. Experience in optical, education, healthcare, child development, psychology, or related fields is a plus, but we are happy to train the right candidate.
Responsibilities Responsibilities may include:
Answering phones and scheduling appointments
Greeting patients and checking them in and out
Verifying insurance benefits
Collecting payments
Assisting patients with eyeglass selection and frame styling
Supporting the doctor and team with daily office operations
Learning and providing vision therapy
