This contract position is perfect for a skilled OT interested in supporting students through both the Extended School Year (ESY) program and the initial months of the upcoming academic year. You'll be making a meaningful impact for students who are eager to receive services that help them grow and succeed. Your assignment begins immediately, supporting the ESY program now through August 6th. As the new school year begins, your role will continue for several months, ensuring that students receive vital compensatory services. With a manageable caseload of 14 students, you'll be able to focus on fostering individual growth and skill development.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
Active OT license required for Rhode Island Proven experience in a school-based setting is highly valued Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills Familiarity with IEP processes and goal setting for students Ability to work independently and adapt to changing needs Experience with a diverse student population, including those with varied developmental or physical challenges
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver occupational therapy services to students in line with individual education plans (IEPs) Collaborate with educators, families, and other service providers to support student progress Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes Adjust treatment plans as needed to address students' evolving needs Participate in meetings and contribute to the multidisciplinary team This is a rewarding contract position with the timeline beginning ASAP—perfect for an OT seeking flexibility while making a meaningful difference.
