Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Embark on a meaningful contract opportunity working with students, utilizing your skills as an Occupational Therapist in a supportive school environment. This position is designed for individuals passionate about helping young learners achieve independence and success in their educational journeys.

Key Qualifications:

Active license or eligibility for Occupational Therapy practice. Previous experience in a school-based setting or with pediatric populations preferred. Proficiency in evaluating, planning, and implementing individualized therapeutic interventions. Strong interpersonal and communication abilities when working with students, staff, and families. Ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams to support student progress and goals. Organizational skills for case management and documentation in compliance with school and state requirements.

Responsibilities:

Conduct assessments to identify students' needs and establish therapy goals in accordance with IEPs. Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy services individually or in groups within the school context. Develop and implement strategies to improve students' participation in academics and daily activities. Consult with teachers and families to integrate therapeutic techniques into classroom routines and home activities. Maintain accurate and timely records, progress notes, and related documentation. Participate in IEP meetings, providing expertise and collaborating on student care plans. Stay current with best practices, continuing education, and relevant licensure requirements.
